To dream of wearing silk clothes, is a sign of high ambitions being gratified, and friendly relations will be established between those who were estranged.
For a young woman to dream of old silk, denotes that she will have much pride in her ancestors, and will be wooed by a wealthy, but elderly person. If the silk is soiled or torn, she will drag her ancestral pride in the slums of disgrace.

For a lady to dream of silks and satins, and that she is having fine dresses made of those fabrics, foretells poverty and want: if she imagines that she is presented with a plain cheap dress, and is pleased with the present, it is a sign she will have some excellent luck; but if she dislikes it, it shows that she will refuse an offer that will cause her after regrets.

Silk.—To dream you see silk, either in pieces or for sewing, signifies prosperity and success in undertakings; to the lover, it denotes a sweetheart of an industrious disposition, good tempered, and very faithful; in trade, it foretells increase of business, by means of women. To be clothed in silk foretells honors and riches, but you will quarrel with a rich neighbor, who will endeavor to do you mischief. For a married woman to dream of being dressed in a silk gown, shows her husband is fond of some one who will nearly ruin him. If a maiden dreams of it, she will speedily see her lover.
