Reapers
Reapers at their harvest often touch prosperity and contentment, but lack of good crops if the field is dried stubble and discouragement if they stand idle. The dream may ask where the season of gathering what you've grown has arrived, and whether the harvest before you is rich and full or thin, the yield of earlier labour now coming due.

See what’s rising tonight →What the old dream-books say
These are the entries the historical dream-books record for reapers, in their own words. They are period voices, not predictions, and they do not always agree with one another.
Gustavus Hindman Miller, 1901
To dream of seeing reapers busy at work at their task, denotes prosperity and contentment. If they appear to be going through dried stubble, there will be a lack of good crops, and business will consequently fall off.
To see idle ones, denotes that some discouraging event will come in the midst of prosperity.
To see a broken reaping machine, signifies loss of employment, or disappointment in trades.
