Ham
Ham often touches on sustenance and social position—the sense of being nourished or exposed, welcomed or vulnerable at the table. Perhaps the dream asks whether you feel fed by your connections, or whether something precious feels at risk of being consumed before you're ready.

These are the entries the historical dream-books record for ham, in their own words. They are period voices, not predictions, and they do not always agree with one another.
Gustavus Hindman Miller, 1901
To dream of seeing hams, signifies you are in danger of being treacherously used. To cut large slices of ham, denotes that all opposition will be successfully met by you. To dress a ham, signifies you will be leniently treated by others.
To dream of dealing in hams, prosperity will come to you. Also good health is foreboded.
To eat ham, you will lose something of great value. To smell ham cooking, you will be benefited by the enterprises of others.
Fontaine, 1862
Dreaming of fine-looking hams is a good omen; but if they are wormy or in any way blemished, it spoils all the luck, and shows that you will be unfortunate. To dream of eating fine-tasting hams is a sign that you will do something noted that will create a talk, but all in your favor; if the ham that you eat is bad and wormy, the said talk will be a scandal against you.
