Catechism

The catechism — fixed questions, required answers — marks in a dream a lucrative position offered, but hedged with strictures that bind. The dream tends to touch the good thing that comes with rigid conditions attached, and to ask what opportunity before us asks us to fit a narrow mould, and whether the reward is worth the constraint.

What the old dream-books say

These are the entries the historical dream-books record for catechism, in their own words. They are period voices, not predictions, and they do not always agree with one another.

Ten Thousand Dreams Interpreted

To dream of the catechism, foretells that you will be offered a lucrative position, but the strictures will be such that you will be worried as to accepting it.
